๐ Step-by-Step Guide (6 Steps)
Prepare Duplicate Paper Sheets
Place two matching pieces of paper flat on your workspace. Trim the edges so both pieces are completely identical in size, text alignment, and appearance.
- โข Two identical paper rectangles aligned perfectly side-by-side on the table.
- โข Using mismatched paper patterns or unevenly cut edges.
Fold the Secret Packet
Take one paper sheet and fold it in half lengthwise, then in half horizontally. Continue accordion-folding until it forms a tight, compact rectangular packet about one-eighth of the original sheet size.
- โข A tight, crisp, palm-sized folded paper packet resting flat.
- โข Loose folds that make the secret packet too bulky to conceal.
Attach Secret Packet to Main Sheet
Apply a small piece of double-sided tape to one outer fold of your folded packet. Press the packet firmly onto the upper back corner of the pristine display sheet, aligning it just behind where your thumb rests.
- โข Front of the display sheet is completely flat and clean, with the folded packet concealed directly behind the top corner.
- โข Attaching the packet too close to the center where fingers cannot cover it.
Display and Tear the Front Sheet
Hold the paper facing forward with both hands, gripping the hidden packet behind your left thumb. Rip the bottom half of the sheet vertically into strips, keeping the top corner and secret packet untouched.
- โข Sheet torn into parallel strips while the top concealed packet remains intact and hidden behind fingers.
- โข Accidentally ripping through the hidden duplicate packet attached to the back.
Bundle Torn Pieces and Flip
Fold the torn strips inward into a tight bundle identical in size to the secret packet. Turn your hands inward to rotate the bundle, bringing the hidden intact packet to the front while pinching the torn bundle to the back.
- โข Torn paper folded into a neat square directly adjacent to the intact packet, thumb covering the seam.
- โข Fumbling the flip or exposing the torn scraps beneath your fingers.
Unfold and Present Restored Sheet
Grip the edges of the intact packet and unfold it smoothly downward with both hands. Keep your thumb pinned over the torn scrap packet pressed flat against the back of the restored sheet.
- โข Fully restored, intact sheet held open to the front with torn pieces concealed behind top thumb.
- โข Letting go of the rear thumb grip, allowing the torn scraps to fall.
