📋 Step-by-Step Guide (6 Steps)
Scout the Build Zone and Clear the Foundation
Locate a flat stretch of hard-packed sand roughly 10 to 15 feet above the current surf line. Clear away dry, loose surface sand in a 4-foot circle until you reach the firmer, darker damp layer underneath. Level the ground by dragging the flat back of your shovel across the circle.

Build and Compact a Wet Sand Foundation Mound
Pile wet sand in the center of your circle to create a solid central platform roughly 12 inches high. Pour a splash of seawater over the pile, then firmly pack it down using flat hands or the base of your bucket until it feels dense like clay. Repeat layering sand, water, and patting until you have a rock-solid raised plateau.

Pack and Unmold the Main Castle Towers
Fill a cylindrical pail with wet sand in three separate increments, firmly packing each layer down with your fist. Flip the bucket upside-down onto the raised platform in one quick, confident motion. Tap the top and sides of the bucket gently with your shovel handle, then lift the bucket straight up vertically.

Carve Battlements, Windows, and Connecting Walls
Use a plastic knife or spatula to slice square crenels into the top rims of the towers for classic castle battlements. Mist the structures lightly with your seawater spray bottle while carving to keep the outer crust firm.
