Privacy Policy
howto.support ยท Effective October 1, 2026
This policy explains what HandsOn Coach collects, why we collect it, how camera and microphone coaching works, and the choices available to you. It applies to howto.support and related HandsOn Coach services.
1. Who we are
HandsOn Coach operates howto.support, including guide pages, creator tools, accounts, purchases, support, and optional live camera or voice coaching. Privacy questions and requests can be sent through our contact page.
2. Information we collect
- Account and identity information. Email address, account identifiers, login status, verification records, and preferences.
- Contact and support information. Messages, email address, ticket history, attachments you choose to send, and our replies.
- Purchase information. Products or coaching time purchased, transaction identifiers, payment status, tax information, and limited billing details supplied by our payment processor. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
- Live coaching data. Camera images or frames, microphone audio, speech, prompts, transcripts, tool or material observations, session status, and generated coaching output when you start a coaching feature and grant the required permissions.
- Creator information. Guide submissions, profile details, payout account information, tax forms, and royalty records where creator tools are used.
- Usage and technical data. Page paths, referrers, coarse device type, browser information, security events, IP address or network information, session diagnostics, timestamps, and aggregate analytics.
- Preferences and local storage. Interface settings, purchase-restoration state, consent choices, and similar items stored in your browser.
3. Camera, microphone and live coaching
Camera and microphone access is optional and controlled by your browser or device permissions. When you start live coaching, images, audio, speech, transcripts, prompts, and limited technical data may be processed in real time by HandsOn systems and third-party artificial-intelligence or infrastructure providers to understand the task and generate guidance.
Do not point a camera at people, identity documents, financial information, medical records, private spaces, or anything you do not want processed. Do not say sensitive information aloud during a session. Unless a feature clearly states otherwise, live coaching is used to provide the session rather than to create a permanent recording. Limited operational logs, transcripts, prompts, or outputs may nevertheless be retained for security, debugging, quality, abuse prevention, payment records, or legal compliance.
4. How we use information
- Provide guides, accounts, live coaching, creator tools, purchases, and customer support.
- Generate, display, and improve coaching output and guide content.
- Process payments, calculate royalties, prevent fraud, and maintain financial records.
- Operate, secure, debug, measure, and improve the service.
- Send service, purchase, security, and support communications.
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect users, creators, the public, and our rights.
5. Legal bases
Where law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, your consent for camera, microphone, or optional communications, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, and other bases permitted by law.
6. AI and service providers
We may send limited data to hosting, payment, email, analytics, moderation, customer-support, cloud, and artificial-intelligence providers. They process data for us under their terms and privacy practices. Some providers may process data in the United States or other countries. We do not sell personal information or use live coaching audio or video for third-party advertising.
7. When we share information
We may share information with service providers, payment processors, creators when needed for a transaction or royalty, professional advisers, parties to a business transaction, and authorities or affected parties when required by law or necessary to prevent harm, fraud, or abuse. We may also share aggregate or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
8. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including providing the service, maintaining purchase and royalty records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations. Camera and microphone inputs are generally processed for the active session; associated transcripts, prompts, diagnostics, or security records may be retained for a limited period where the feature uses them. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement.
9. Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke camera and microphone permissions, change browser storage settings, stop using the service, request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of eligible personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us through the contact page. We may verify your identity and may retain information where law or legitimate records require it.
10. Cookies and local storage
We use limited first-party storage for sign-in, security, interface preferences, purchase restoration, and privacy choices. Our aggregate analytics is designed to be cookie-free and does not use cross-site advertising profiles. See the Cookie Policy for details and controls.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission, device, or storage system is perfectly secure. Protect your account, avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
12. Children
The service is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone below the age at which they can legally consent to online services in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
13. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual or other safeguards for cross-border transfers. Local privacy rights may differ from those in the country where data is processed.
14. Changes
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes may also be posted or communicated through the service.
15. Contact
Use the contact page for privacy questions, camera or microphone concerns, or requests about your information.

- Verification and exceptions. We may verify a request and may deny or limit it where law, security, fraud prevention, legal claims, or another person's rights require.
- Automated processing. We use automation and AI for analysis and recommendations, but do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement or another lawful basis.
- Business transfers. Information may transfer in a merger, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to this policy and law.
- Aggregated and de-identified data. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for research, analytics, security, and improvement.
